30 septembre 2011 – 29 janvier 2012
Jeudi 29 septembre 2011 > vernissage presse 11h-14h

Waste not. Want not.
Jens Praet’s series of limited edition (12 each) furniture pieces are constructed from shredded out-dated magazines and obsolete confidential documents with each design made from a specific title. Each work is handmade and unique because the exact mixture of magazines differs from one piece to the next, affecting the color and appearance. The Shredded Collection originated out of the designer’s concern about sustainability and the amount of waste paper being generated globally.
Hardened to a firmness with the strength of wood, the work is finished by hand.
Traditional handcrafting and avant-garde techniques combine.
